4. fall in love with cathy park hong’s new work, tour guides & a mythical city, an invented language like my own!

aunt pittipat’s … based after a character in gone with the wind,
animal heads all over with floral patterned walls. surreal moment #50.
8. meeting ms. m nelson was a treat & i’m excited to be spending a month with her! poesy n history, herstory n poetics.

10. & the 50 other books i got. good thing i brought a half-full suitcase.
11. i got to be muskrat for a day! & i still have the nametag to prove it:-)

response: "how’d you know i was asian! most {white} people think i’m
mexican!"

seeing my 1st vona classmates, ms. ashaki & ms. ebony! (back in
the day when i didn’t believe in line breaks) & having someone come
up to me & saying they remembered my poem from the last day of
vona. mi familia!
15. i can’t believe i still did my morning pages!
